The Jay County Solid Waste Management District provides the opportunity for Jay County educators to submit education grant applications each year for funding consideration.

Application cycle will begin again in December 2019.

Up to $500 per proposal is available to educators who have a proposal pertaining to recycling.  There is no limit on proposals that can be submitted by schools or educators.

All applications are reviewed by the Citizen's Advisory Committee and Board of Directors for funding consideration.

-A Buddy Bench

-Two Dumpster Drummer performances

-Green puzzles and games

-Kore Wobble Chairs made of recycled materials

-School wide, uniform recycling containers

-Glow in the dark skeletons

-Robotics materials sorter designed to sort trash from recyclables

-Reading Corner furnished with items made from recycled materials

-Two "Makerspace" areas including recycled materials

-Partial funding for an outdoor learning area incorporating recycled materials
